Pup-Dates Galore! |

Joy's puppies are leaving this week and as a result we're getting lots of pup-dates which reminded me to post ones I have been hanging onto for awhile...
From our recent Joy/Mose litter, Penny's mom (pictured to the right) has this to say, "Just wanted to let you know Penny did a great job on the way home! She did really well last night when we got home too! She has pottied outside every time so far! She cried for maybe 5 minutes in the crate at bedtime but otherwise slept through the night! She still doesn't have an appetite but is drinking well. I figure she is still getting used to her new home! She loves to play and is such a cuddler! "
And Ty's family says, "Ty did so well last night! He whined for maybe 30 minutes last night. He already knows where his crate, food and water are. We've had no potty accidents. He now whimpers when he needs to go outside. Such a sweet and VERY obedient puppy!"
Another Joy/Mose pup family from our Nov 2009 litter also sent us some new photos and a great update. Mollie's pictured to the left here and this photo reminds me a lot of her dad. Her family had this to say, "Hi girls! I got a chance to take some pics of Mollie this week and thought I'd share. Yes, she is actually on the sofa in 2 of the pics- something I never thought we'd allow! But, she's so stinkin cute and she doesn't do anything but lay there, so what can I say!? She's turned us into big softies with her adorable fluffy face!"
From our other 2010 Summer litter with Lily and Q, Chance's family has been spending lots of time with her on the ocean as you can see from the photo on the right! Her family had this to say, "Chance went on the boat again today and we took the some photos this time. She is really starting to love the water!"
Her brother Chase's family also sent us this update, "I WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW HOW WELL "CHASE" IS ADJUSTING.........OR HOW WELL HE IS TRAINING ME!!!! HE HAD HIS SECOND VISIT TO VET THIS PM AND WEIGHED IN AT 18.5 LBS........THE ONLY THING HE HASN'T CHEWED IS MY LEG!!!!! LOL!!!!
I PLAN TO CALL YOU WITH QUESTIONS ABOUT GROOMING, ETC. THANKS FOR DOING SUCH A GREAT JOB WITH YOUR DOGS."
And we are expecting a visit from Mousse (also from our Lily/Q litter) and his big brother Baxter (a Pris/Scout pup from our first litter ever) over labor day weekend. His mom reports that he is the easiest puppy she has every raised. They are starting puppy classes this week.
Well that's all of the pup-dates for now! Keep watching for more as we get them!

I simply cannot believe that our puppies will start going to their
forever homes starting on Tuesday. Time flew with this litter. I am
truly going to miss these sweet little fluff balls! They have been
really fun and good puppies for me and my family.
Alysen and I are thrilled with each of our puppies new families. We
will be excited to hear "Pup Dates" in the coming weeks and months about
how everyone is setting in and what is going on in each puppies new
environment.
The puppies are doing very well and just so big! I am looking forward to meeting all of you in person next week!
I have to give a shout out to our dear friend Kris...I was drawing a blank on what to do for puppy pictures and she came up with the awesome "pots & pans" theme! Thank you Kris!! Puppy kisses:)

The puppies love their pool...well, almost! I decided to set the wading pool up with water for the first time today as I had puppies walking through their water dish and occaisionally laying in it. I had a few takers as you will see in the new video. However, not everyone is convinced that they want to climb completely in it. In fact, most of the puppies just think that it's a really really big drinking dish. I let the poodles Mara & Rose out to show the puppies the ropes, but no luck. I even stood in the middle of the pool, but alas, not takers then either. Ah well, I think by tomorrow afternoon, I won't be able to keep them out of it!
Everyone is now eating solid dry food ! They are almost completely weaned. At this point they only time they nurse is when Joy is a willing participant in the process or if she gets cornered by 9 puppies! They are so funny when they hear my voice in the morning because they know it's time to get up and eat some breakfast!!!! For that reason, I try not to say anything until I have their dish in hand, lol.
I had to expland their inside puppy room because they needed more room to play. As they are doing so well with the potty boxes, they have definately deserved the extra room! I will expand the room one more time before they all go home. I try to change things around and add new toys to the inside area. It's been fun to "hide" toys and see how long it takes for them to discover them. I love watching them play and I hope the you have too on the puppycam . If you do not have the password, contact me.
Time is going by rather quickly and I am sure that everyone is excited about their new puppies coming home! Here are some links for grooming supplies that we highly recommend. You will need a brush -
27mm T-Brush 7 1/4" body length , a rake (medium) , a comb (medium) and nail clippers . You will also need a pair of scissors which you can purchase at any pharmacy. We have put a video up of our last litter concerning grooming.
Let me know if you have any questions about getting ready for your puppy. We are getting ready for your arrival and are looking forward to seeing you all in person very soon!
I have one puppy available from Joy & Mose's summer liter. Contact me if you are interested in this puppy.

Can you believe that our puppies will be 6 weeks old tomorrow? Time is flying:)
The puppies have really enjoyed their new indoor area this week. They have been so good with the potty training and have have very few accidents in their new play area. They are such good puppies. You can watch a video of them playing in their indoor area.
In addition to the indoor area, the puppies now have their outdoor play yard. The got to go into the new play yard for the first time Saturday and loved it! They really like the room they have to run around and play, play, play! I have a video of them in their play yard enjoying their new found freedom! New photos are up as well. Enjoy!
We have some IMPORTANT events coming up that you need to know about!
First, we will be doing our tempurament testing on all of the puppies Tuesday afternoon (8/10). We will be offering a choice from 2 - 3 puppies that best match your family and we will start with the family #1 on our list. PLEASE be watching for an email with each pupppies temperament testing results and descripton. Once the first family has dediced on their puppy we move onto family #2, etc... While we understand that the selection of your new family member is a big decision, we ask that you make a promt decision as we cannot move onto our next family until your decision is made. Another decision you will need to make is a name for your puppy! As soon as you tell us what your puppy's name is we will start to call him/her by that name:)
Second, puppy pick up time is right arond the corner! With that in mind, you will need to start preparing for your puppy's needs if you have not already:) A crate, colar and leash are a must. You will also need to get your puppy his/her food. It's never too early to start looking for a pet supply store that carries quality premium pet food in your area! We are currently feeding the pups Acana Wild Prairie Dog Food for All Breeds & Lifestages . We will be sending you and your pup home with some starter food.
Puppies will be ready to start going home the 24th. Please contact me to set up a day & time for you to come and pick your new addition up! Some of you have asked what you should bring for your ride home. You will need a collar, leash, towel, plastic bags, papertowels, and a bottle of water/bowl. We will be sending you home with a packet of information to help you and your puppy adjust to their new environment, as well as some food and a toy that has spent time in the puppy area so it smells like their litter mates:)
With all that said, I am looking forward to meeting each family in person in the next couple of weeks!
We only have one more puppy avaliable, so if you are interested in a puppy from our Joy /Mose summer litter, please contact us .

I simply can't believe how big the puppies are now!
They started eating solid food yesterday evening with out any hesitation!! I gave them a mixture of rice cereal, goats milk and soaked dog food. They are doing so well with their eating that I will switch them from the cereal mixture to the soaked dog food only in a couple of days. They are still nursing but Joy enjoyings a much deserved break from the rowdy puppies between feedings!!
We had a special puppy socializer flown in from L.A., my dad! It was so neat for him to be here during this faze in the puppies development. They really go from helpless little tiny babies to playful, asertive and aware little dogs! My dad enjoyed snuggling up with each of the puppies during his 2 week stay:)
They have now transitioned from the whelping pen to a puppy pen with big
toys and little toys. A much needed change as they were on the verge
of escaping! lol. They are learning to potty train in the potty boxes
too! And not doing to bad either, I am so proud of them! I couldn't resist the picture below today. I ran and got my camera! This is pink girl asleep on the slide with her toosh hanging out and feet just a dangling! Too cute. They are really enjoying their new space and having a blast with the new environment:)
New photos of the puppies are up on the site: CLICK HERE . We are continuing to have issues loading movies. Alysen and I are hoping to resolve the problems this week and once we do we will have new videos up on the movies page CLICK HERE .
We still have a few open puppy slots. If you
are interested in a puppy from this litter, please contact us .
